Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze, has said he isn’t made a get worked up about leaving behind the 2019 CAF Youth Player of the Year award.
Chukwueze passed up a great opportunity to Morocco and Borussia Dortmund full-back, Achraf Hakimi, who was pronounced the victor for the consequent time.
The Nigerian star was among a 10-man shortlist for the Kopa Trophy, which is the Ballon d’Or award for the best performing player more youthful than 21, finishing in the ninth position.
The 20-year-old was in like manner recorded for the Golden Boy Award won by Portuguese forward João Félix.
“Ideally things will turn out at some point not far off, I have quite recently placed the misstep behind me,” Chukwueze told NationSport.
“I have achieved a lot in 2019 anyway I need to achieve more.
“I am uncommonly grateful for all that happened in 2019 yet I right now need to focus on what I can achieve this year.”
